Here is a utility that can edit the Audio Index file in KLZs AudioFile This will allow you to record beyond the 100 day hard coded limit Jan 2011 version


In order to modify your channel your KLZAudioLogger service in Services must be stopped This will stop recording on all channels

1 Download and unzip the KLZExpandAudioListexe to a folder in your AudioFile data directory CAudioFileDataDB DB contains the Audio index files that keep track of your current recorded audio

2 Stop the KLZAudioLogger service


3 Run the KLZExpandAudioList and browse to your AudioFile folder example CAudioFileDataDB Locate the Channel1nal index file you want to expand the number of days on

   

ExpandAudioList

4 Input the value in Entries It may not show your current entries Input the new value old was 100 days 2400 entries Example Input 3601 this will allow 150 days X 24 entries per day Press the Resize List button and close the utility

5 A new Channel1nal will be created in the DB folder The old one gets renamed with a Bck in the same folder Best to archive this old nal to a different folder The new index file has all the information from the previous one this retains all of your data up to this point

6 Restart the KLZAudioLogger service in Services

Your system will stop overwriting files over a 100 days old New recordings will be added on to the database in the modified channel

Note Changes to the number of days to log is done with the AudioFile Server Setup utility
