Approved Playback Devices

As mentioned previously in this document the KLZ AudioFileTM can operate using a variety of audio cards including combinations of sound cards or devices installed in the AudioFile machine The following cards have been tried and tested in a variety of combinations

OnBoard Sound Devices The imbedded audio devices of modern day motherboards are all capable of handling the demands of a smaller one or two channel logger Consumer Sound Cards Creative Labs and others

We have found that any of the standard consumer or professional grade products such as the SoundBlaster and Audigy work well and can be added for additional channels Provided the PC itself is up to the task we have that quite a variety of audio cards can be used to accommodate multiple channels of good audio quality at very low cost

MAudio Delta44 This card by MAudio contains 4 channels of inout which makes an ideal solution for adding channels to your present logger or for creating a multichannel machine The card comes with a PCI interface which then connects to a breakout box with appropriate connectors Each Delta44 has 4 inputs that could be used as all mono two stereo or one stereo and two mono

MAudio Delta1010 This card by MAudio contains 8 channels of inout which makes an ideal solution for creating a multichannel machine The card comes with a PCI interface which also connects to a breakout box with appropriate connectors

Note For those of you looking for a tidier solution the Delta1010 also comes with a Rackmount version which has a mountable unit connected to PCI cards This keeps the cabling located in the rack but still affords the multichannels required for those highdemand loggers
