NewsRoom Remote 45 Port Configuration
NewsRoom Remote 4.5 can be accessed from the outside world with Port 87
opened up on the external firewall , inbound and outbound traffic, no vpn
needed. That is our default port but can be changed. If changed, users inside
and outside would need to alter the startup server address to reflect the access
port. (myopenport.myplace.com:6875 )
Example- WQZTservername:6986 (servername:port) To use Remote 4.5 with VPN you can use the inside server IP or name for the Remote Server Address, same as the inside startup address. Without the VPN, your IT dept. can let you know what name or IP to access from the outside to get to the 45 server.
