Starting the NewsRoom services
The Firebird service
The firebird service is started from the Windows services applet, within the "Computer Management" console. From file explorer, or the desktop; Right click on "My Computer" and select "Manage". Start the "Firebird" service from the services tab, or menu.
The NewsRoom Services
We now have firebird running and may bring up our newsroom system for the first time. From the "Tools" menu of the NfsAdmin program navigate down to the "Start/Stop NewsRoom Services" menu and select "Start Nr Services" from the fly out.
Navigate to the debug viewer in the NfsAdmin help menu to verify the servers are running.
Service debug message can be viewed in the "Tx Log" tab of the debug viewer. Error messages can be found in the "Debug Log" tab.
