Xml Capture - Associated Press
The Associated Press has begun to discontinue satellite based wire content in the USA. They will provide their clients with a Web Agent that links to an AP Profile. The Web Agent will fetch AP XML files from the Internet and place them in a folder on the KLZ capture pc, or server. The KLZ XML To Wire program will grab content from the folder, and post them to the NewsRoom wires.
Contact AP for the required station credentials, and Web Manager link. KLZ will provide a link to the XML to Wire program, and assist with the installation and configuration of the new KLZ XML capture program. Be sure to configure your WebAgent to download XML files not HTML. (HTML not compatible with AP XMLtoWire )
Aim the KLZ XMLtoWire to the WFA Content folder. A Feeds folder exists but is not the correct XML format. An XML style sheet is supplied with the XMLToWire program.
