KLZ Audiofile No Logon option
AudioFile is meant to run on a multimedia workstation The users who log into it do not need any sharesspecial rights or even need to be in its user manager The user connects with the IP stream mini web server built into the AF service Audiofile has 2 user accounts administrator and 1 other that you can change the name and password on If you want your users to have access and not need a login use the No logon Option when running the setup for the client instructions below If you do not see that option call KLZ for support.
No logon Option with AudioFile client setup
At times it may be desirable to force the audiofile player to connect to a specific logger at startup
The player looks for a file called audiofileafal in the same folder as the player executable file at startup If this file is found the player will connect to the server specified in the file If a password is required to access the server the password is also saved in the file
KLZ Innovations provides a program named AFLogonexe that must be used to create the auto logon file The AFLogon program must be run from an audiofile logger server with dongle attached The program requires no installation Simply run the program and fill in the server address and the password if required Then press the Create button The audiofileafal file will be saved to the folder you selected
Now copy the file to the same folder as the player executable file on each workstation this feature is desired To stop the player from using the auto logon feature simply delete the audiofileafal file in the same folder as the player executable file
A registry key may be used to prevent a basic user from deleting the audiofileafal file or installing the player in another folder and defeating the auto logon feature If the player reads a value from the special registry key not blank the player will always require an auto logon file If the auto logon file is not present the player will not be able to connect
The registry key goes under the HKEYLOCALMACHINE hive in the following path

Under this path a string value is read from Program any non blank value will enable forced auto logon This area of the registry is read only to non administrator users and can not be changed This is a global setting that will effect all instances of the player run under any user account
